The following is an excerpt from the My Beachy Tribe blog post, “Big Kahuna’s Water Park” by Kristen Webb, July 19, 2021.
We needed a break from the beach. So I decided to take the kiddos to Big Kahunas water park for the day on Monday to escape the beach and embrace the cool water! It was perfect! We got a cabana which was so convenient. It was huge. Filled my whole party of ten, complete with screens to keep bugs out and stay private with lots of seating. So nice to hold all of your belongings, eat and relax in the shade as well.
I brought my oldest son and all his friends. So once everyone was covered in spa, all the teens left for the next few hours. The little ones, same, we jumped right into the first set of kiddie sides we saw right in front of us.
There are multiple areas for all ages. Twister slides, mat slides, tube slides, wave pool, two lazy rivers, and lots of small kiddie slides, sprinkler pads, water toys, and zero entry areas for the littlest ones.
Life vests are available complimentary. As well as tubes. Cabanas and lockers are available for rent. You cannot bring in a cooler, but there are concessions that have snacks, pizza, drinks, ice cream and beverages.
We had a great day! We are so lucky to have so many fun family fun activities right here in our town where we live! Big Kahunas is the biggest water park on the Emerald Coast and what a perfect way to cool off this summer!
Have you visited a water park this summer? Would you if you came to the Destin area?
